ORLY - Ma Cherie (Holiday Soiree)

Wow, how can a vacation be so full with stuff.. I had some trips with school and three days away with friends, wich leaves no time for taking editing nail pictures! So, without much more delay, here is Ma Cherie.

I really don't like this polish.. It's the biggest dissapointment in a long time. The polish is very sheer. Here I'm wearing 4 coats and not very thin ones. On some nails I did a fifth coat, but it dindn't help. There is still some VNL. The color itself is not bad at all. A bright red, perfect for the holidays.
Next time, I'll layer it over a more opaque red polish.

ORLY - Oui

A few days ago I showed you ORLY - Ingenue. Today I'm showing you her big sister, ORLY - Oui.
When I all my Holiday Soiree lacquers arrived the two of them looked so similar! Of course, it was dark by the time I got home and opened the box. My boyfriend thought they weren't that much alike at all. The next day I still thought they looked alike..

But I changed my mind a bit. When I started to apply Oui, the big differences started to show up. Oui is a much darker color then Ingenue, which has a pink base. Oui is a purple base, but it contains the same golden shimmer we like so much.
Because of the difference in base color, they really differ in warmth. I realized this when I saw the pictures next to each other. Ingenue is a warmer toned polish, while Oui looks a bit cold. It fits the cold winter days that are ahead of us. Ingenue fits the warm fires that will keep us warm.

Application of Oui is the same as with Ingenue. The substance of the polish is quite thick, but runny. Drying time was a bit better this time. I put the layers on a bit thinner and it was perfect!
With this one, I found out wearing time is really good! I wore it two working days in a row and then another two days. My Catrice polish wouldn't even last one day of work..

Oui is supposed to be a dupe for ORLY - It's my year. Unfortunately, I don't own that one so there will be no comparison from me.

I bought this set from this Ebay store for $27,25. All bottles came with a matching mini file and as an extra I got an miniature Top 2 Bottom.

ORLY, Holiday Soiree - Ingenue

So.. I've been thinking about me and blogging. I'm really fond of my privacy and I don't like to be easily found on the internet. That's why you won't find a lot of personal stuff on here from now on and I'll protect my identity as much as possible. My name will be removed from here.
Also changing: I will be posting completely in English.

On to the polish!

This is the first time I bought a complete set of nailpolish! The special collections from ORLY are not that big, but it's still quite a purchase.. While browsing on Ebay, you can always find a deal that is just a bit better. I couldn't resist!

So now I'm showing you the first one out of this set. ORLY - Ingenue is a pink base, with lots of gold shimmer in it. Not a unique color, but still very pretty! It's also similar to another polish from this collection, Oui, but Oui has a darker base which is more purple. Other polishes that are very similar are OPI - Rally Pretty Pink and Zoya - Faye.

ORLY puts their nail polish in nice and big bottles. They contain 18 ml, while brands like OPI and China Glaze contain 15 ml. The brush is very good, easy to apply your polish with. The only problems I have are with the formula and the price. The formula is kind of thick and runny at the same time or just weird to me, but that is manageable. The real problem with the formula is the drying time. Even with use of ORLY - In A Snap, I got dents in the polish 2 hours after application!
Second problem is the retail price. ORLY Netherlands has a price of €10,50 a bottle! Luckily we have this wonderfull place called Ebay.
